Hey there! I'm Naveen Tuyo, a full time highschool student (Class of 2026). I have a passion for creating solutions for real community issues through technology. I've been creating games on the Roblox platform for +3 years, as game development is a passion of mine. I enjoy reading books and playing ultimate frisbee in my free time!

Mario Kart Game

This is my recreation the Mario Kart racing mechanics from scratch. This was a 3-month project I made during the summer. It emulates the feel and fun of playing Mario Kart! This was created using Roblox Studio and scripted in Luau (subset of Lua). Everything has been scripted by me, including the kart physics, items, drifting and more. A 3d artist decorated the map and created the VFX.

Every force vector is calcuted per-frame, resulting in fluid controls while still being preformant. Players can play using a controller, keyboard + mouse, or mobile device. It also supports multiplayer, so players can race and challenge each other! I really enjoyed building this game, I may even go back and add some new features.

Education

I'm currently a Junior at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School (CRLS), Class of 2026! I'm actively involved in Falcon Band, Boys Ultimate Frisbee, and Invesment Club.
